Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated JUNE 28, 2025

1. Introduction

This Acceptable Use Policy ("the Policy") outlines prohibited uses of the products and services as well as other services (the "Services") offered by Single Thread Solutions, Inc. ("SFIS") and the related website located at https://www.sfis.io/ (the "Site"). This policy supplements, and is incorporated into, SFIS's Master Subscription Agreement (currently published at https://docs.sfis.io/legal/msa) (the “MSA"). If any provision in this Policy conflicts with a term in the MSA, then the applicable provisions of MSA will prevail unless the term in this Policy specifically states that it will prevail. This Policy applies to all SFIS Customers.

2. Prohibited Activities

By using the Services, you agree to comply with this Policy and ensure that your use aligns with our goal of providing a secure, consistent, and responsive system. You are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, export control laws, consumer protections, regulations and compliance with the MSA. You must not engage in, support, or facilitate any of the following activities or outcomes:

  • You may not use the Service to transmit, store, display or distribute content that is illegal, immoral, defamatory, libelous, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, obscene, pornographic, indecent, discriminatory, inappropriate, deceptive, fraudulent, or otherwise harmful.

  • You may not use the Service in any manner that would result in an infringement of intellectual property or proprietary rights of a third party, including but not limited to copyrights, patents, trademarks, and trade secrets, whether registered or not.

  • You may not use the Service to transmit, deploy, test, or store content or technology that may damage, or interfere with any system, program, or data, including without limitation malware, viruses, worms, bots, exploits, time bombs, or other harmful code.

  • You may not use the Service to engage in activities that degrade, interfere with, or circumvent SFIS or third party security measures, including without limitation by attempting to: (a) use another party's account without authorization; (b) obtain a Service to which you are not entitled; (c) tamper, reverse engineer, interfere with, disrupt or disable a System by direct or indirect means.

  • You may not use the Service to violate the confidentiality or privacy of others, including by collecting, storing, display, transmitting, or sharing others' private or confidential information without authorization.

  • You may not insecurely share credentials, access keys, or authentication tokens.

  • You are responsible for violations of this Policy by anyone using the Service with your permission or using your account whether authorized or not.

  • You may not misuse free-tier or trial access beyond intended purposes.

  • You may not use the Service to run an excessive number of automated requests or queries in a way that degrades Service performance for others. This includes, but is not limited to activities that put an unreasonable load on the Service, degrade performance, or interfere with the usage of other users.

  • You may not use the Service to engage in fraudulent, deceptive, or misleading activities.

3. Fair Usage

In order to maintain Service stability and ensure service level compliance per the MSA, we may enforce fair usage limits. Any activity that excessively consumes resources to the point it negatively impacts the Service, the SLA, or other SFIS customers may result in downgrade, restrictions, suspension, or cancellation of service.

4. Monitoring and Enforcement

SFIS reserves the right, but does not assume the obligation, to investigate any violation of the Policy or misuse of the Service. Violations of this Policy will be considered a breach of the MSA and may, at SFIS's discretion, result in the following:

  • Temporary suspension or permanent termination of access to the Service.

  • Termination of your SFIS Order and potential penalties.

  • Reporting of illegal activities.

  • Any other remedial actions deemed necessary by SFIS.

5. Updates and Modifications

SFIS may modify this Policy at any time by posting a revised version on the site. By using the Service and accessing the Site, you agree to the latest version of this Policy.

6. Reporting Violations

If you become aware of any violation of this Policy, you must immediately notify SFIS by email at legal@sfis.io and provide SFIS with assistance, as requested, to stop or remedy the violation.
